Gritty and fun: Hickory Ridge’s winning identity

This isn’t a lineup built like the ’27 Yankees, bludgeoning opponents with power.

Hickory Ridge looks more like the 1934 “Gashouse Gang” Cardinals -relentless, unpolished and unapologetically gritty.

So, instead of it being a home game for the Trojans, the two teams played a neutral site game, at Concord.
