A.L. Brown's Gavin Yow won the 190-pound classification in the 7A N.C. High School Athletic Association Wrestling Championship. Mount Pleasant's Cameron Gue won the state title in 4A. The Tigers got second-place finishes from Ayden Smith and Jacob Reigel. Photographer Walt Unks shared most of these photos with us. The Wonders' Quentin Whisonsafe finished second at 285. In the girls' championships earlier last week, Mount Pleasant's Bailey Nimer won third place in the 1-4A 120 category.
