CONCORD Rest in eternal peace, Nathaniel James Himes. Nathan was born July 21, 1991, in Charlotte, and entered the arms of Jesus just shy of his 28th birthday, Friday, July 19, 2019. The twinkle in his eyes shined bright during his short life and left memories of a free spirited soul, a simple, polite and humble man who was a loyal friend that loved deeply. Nathan was passionate about Motocross, being outdoors and listening to good music. He loved country music, old rock and roll, playing the guitar and fishing. He had an inquisitive nature for how things worked and took things apart to figure them out on his own. We called him the "Nate-man," he lived large and could be the most resourceful and tenacious person in the room. Nathan fiercely loved his brother, Adam and longed to make him proud. He encouraged him to get good grades, treat people with respect and to be a gentle man. Nate worked hard all of his life, and was a man of few, softly spoken words. Surviving are his grandmother, Christine Jayne; parents, Jeffrey Himes, Tracy Himes and Pamela Eggert; brother, Adam Himes; "surrogate" parents, Aunt Patty and Uncle Jay Himes; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who loved him like family. Nate's legacy will be honored at a celebration of life Saturday, Aug. 3, and he will be laid to rest among family at The Church of the Resurrection in Greenwood, S.C. Donations, in lieu of flowers, are appreciated in Nathaniel Himes's loving memory at www.nathanielhimes.life.

My name is Mily Roque . I'm you neighbor. I live in Concord. Sorry for you lost. It's hard to lost someone. I lost my parents 5 years ago and is painful all the time live without them. But I find real hope in Bible verses. 2 Corinthians 1:3,4 said "Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God".
