On Saturday, Sept. 14 the eight marching bands from across Cabarrus County will present their 23rd annual Preview of Bands exhibition program at Mount Pleasant High School. Admission is $8 at the gate and all proceeds benefit the band programs of Cabarrus County Schools and Kannapolis City Schools.

The event will begin at 5:15 p.m. with a performance of The Star-Spangled Banner by the combined personnel of the Concord and Mount Pleasant High School Marching Bands. Individual ensemble performances will commence at 5:30 p.m. with a performance to follow every 30 minutes. T

Times are approximate as the overall purpose of the event is allow students from across Cabarrus County to observe performances by their friends and peers in a relaxed and stress-free environment.

The finale of the night will feature a performance of America the Beautiful by all eight Cabarrus marching bands.

The newly-formed cfa Academy Drumline will perform as the bands reassemble on the field for their combined performance which will be conducted by Jay M. Robinson High School band director, Mr. Drew Carter.
