Epworth United Methodist Church is hosting a concert starting at 7 p.m. featuring The McPickers, a bluegrass group. The concert is free, but a love offering will be received to benefit local community missions. The church is located at 1030 Burrage Road, Concord.

Lowesville Gospel Concerts at Living Word Ministries, 1062 South Hwy 16, Stanley (Lowesville), presents Golden Valley Crusaders Bluegrass, plus The Griffins, a southern gospel trio from Spartanburg SC at 5 p.m. This will be a great evening of fun and worship. Pastor Farrar Griggs of Second Presbyterian Church will be leading a Bible Study using the book, “The Screwtape Letters,” by C.S. Lewis. The study will begin today at 6 p.m. and continue for 8 weeks. The public is invited. The church is located at 1578 Dale Earnhardt Blvd. Kannapolis.
