The Cream of Cabarrus No. 1-ranked cfa Academy girls basketball team jumped out to a 24-0 lead in the first period and went on to demolish Huntersville SouthLake Christian, 76-6, at home on Tuesday night.

Zykiah Benjamin tossed in 20 points and RaeAnna Loshe for cfa Academy, which improved to 13-4 overall and 6-0 in the Metrolina Athletic Conference.  

At halftime, the Eagles held a staggering 49-2 lead over winless SouthLake Christian, which is now 0-9, 0-5.
