HUNTERSVILLE – The cfa Academy boys basketball team wrapped up a monstrous regular-season Friday with their 74-38 victory at SouthLake Christian.

Here are all the things cfa Academy checked off the list after their blowout win:

Take a deep breath.

cfa Academy, which is the Independent Tribune’s No. 1 team in the Cream of Cabarrus rankings, won its 30th game for the first time in school history.

The Eagles won their second consecutive Metrolina Athletic Conference regular-season championship.

It was the second year in a row that they went undefeated in the league.

They won their 24th consecutive game against MAC competition.

The Eagles won their 14th game in a row this season.

On Friday night in Huntersville, cfa Academy had a balanced effort to improve its record to 30-3.

Senior Presbyterian College signee Ambaka LeGregam totaled 14 points and three steals for cfa Academy, while Javian Cannady had 14 points and a pair of swipes of his own.

In addition, junior guard Trae Benham had 12 points, five assists and four steals. Senior forward Cheick Traore, a Youngstown State signee, had 11 points, six rebounds, four steals and a blocked shot.
