LINCOLNTON Laura Mae Mincy Sain, 101, of Lincolnton, went to her eternal home Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2019. Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at Rhyne Heights United Methodist Church, 520 S. Madison St. in Lincolnton, with the Rev. Avery White officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 12 to 1:45 p.m., prior. Laura Mae was born Aug. 15, 1918, in Lincoln County, to the late Lester L. Mincy and Sally Houser Mincy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Moore Sain; son-in-law, Ray Wilkerson; brothers, Russell "Red" Mincy, William Mincy; and sister-in-law, Madeline Mincy. Left behind are her daughters, Leslie Costner (Bob) of Lincolnton, Bobbie Wilkerson of Concord, Dianne Steele (Tim) of Lincolnton; grandchildren, Leslie Ann Costner Davis (Mark), Stephanie Costner Proctor, Greg Costner (Denise), Patrick Wilkerson (Dari), Barbara Wilkerson, Anna Leigh Wilkerson, Lynn Wilkerson, Eva Wilkerson Zigler (Ron), Chris Kindley (Angie), Susan Warlick (Wesley); 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
