KANNAPOLIS Virginia Privette Rollins, 93, passed away at Tucker Hospice House Friday, Sept. 27, 2019. Virginia was born Dec. 10, 1925, in Mecklenburg County to the late William Privette and Willie Mac Privette. She was also preceded in death by her husband, R.J. Rollins; son, Troy Rollins; one sister and three brothers. The family will receive friends today (Wednesday, Oct. 2), from 1 to 2 p.m., at Sanctuary of Concord, 1112 Old Charlotte Rd. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m., officiated by Pastor Kevin Hartsell. Burial will immediately follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. Virginia is survived by her daughter, Anita Wingler; son, Timothy Rollins; two sisters, three brothers, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was very active. Virginia started riding motorcycles at the age of 70. She enjoyed fishing, gardening and loved going to Cherokee to gamble a little.
