CONCORD Mrs. Rhonda Gail Carlton Anderson, 62, passed away Friday, July 12, 2019, at her home, in Concord. A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m., Monday, July 15, at Poplar Grove Baptist Church. The Rev. Jimmy Barrett will officiate. Entombment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m., today, Sunday, July 14, at Lady's Funeral Home. Mrs. Anderson was born July 3, 1957, at Langley Air Force Base, Va. She was a daughter of the late Norman Clarence Carlton, her birth mother, Vera Mae Wilson Carlton and her stepmother, Aileen Pruitt Carlton. She was a member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church and was a homemaker. Momma spent her life trusting in the Lord. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She cherished making special "Grandmomma" memories. Momma appreciated all of God's creations but especially the beauty she saw in her grandchildren, flowers and hummingbirds. Momma our hearts are broken and yet rejoicing for the day that we will embrace forever in Our Eternal Home - Heaven. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Kay Carlton; and a brother, Marvin James Carlton. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Wayne Anderson; two children, Norma Jean Little and Thomas Wayne Anderson II; sister, Barbara Sue Gautney; three brothers, David Clarence Carlton, Steven Fredrick Carlton and Earl Floyd Anderson; and eight grandchildren, Haley, Colton and Ava Little, Kevin, Jacky and Jack Robles and Josiah and Adreanna Anderson.
