A 22-year-old has been arrested after he killed two people and wounded four others on the campus of the University of North Carolina- Charlotte Tuesday evening.
Trystan Andrew Terrell, 22, has been charged with two counts of murder, four counts of attempted murder, possessing and firing a weapon on educational property and assault with a deadly weapon.
At about 5:40 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30 campus police received a report that several students had been shot in a classroom building.
Campus Police Chief Jeff Baker said officers assembling nearby for a concert rushed to the building and arrested the gunman in the room where the shooting took place.
WSOC-TV reported that Terrell was a student at UNCC where he studied history.
He is schedule to make his first court appearance Thursday.
