WEDNESDAY, MAY 15

Take Control Nutrition Program for Adults will be offered at the Cabarrus County Lunch Plus Club meeting at Living Water Church of God, 162 N. Little Texas Road, Kannapolis. This 8 week series of classes will meet from 11-11:45 a.m. Participants will receive information to help control sodium, fat and added sugar in their diets and will also receive samples of healthy food, recipes, and other educational items. SATURDAY, MAY 18

A Changing of the Flags for Veterans ceremony will be held by the American Legion Post 51 at 9 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery. The event in is in honor of Veterans for Memorial Day. All Veterans are welcome.  Public is welcome to come and participate. The cemetery is located on Church St. and the corner of Brookwood Ave. NW, Concord.

The Eastern Cabarrus Historical Society is hosting an antiques appraisal event with a certified appraiser. Bring up to two items to find out about them. This is a fundraiser for the ECHS and a $10 donagtion is requested.

TUESDAY, MAY 21

Concord Bingo at American Legion Post 51. Doors open every Tuesday at 4p.m. Early games at 4:15 p.m. Three programs, 6 p.m., 7 p.m., 8 p.m. We welcome all our loyal followers back to Legion Bingo.  Help your local veterans continue to support our community.
