A man was arrested and charged after a gun was discharged during a road-rage incident Sunday night on I-85 northbound in Concord, police said.
Police then said Michael Charles O’Neill was driving his Porsche when he was cut off by a tractor-trailer.
Officers said O'Neill and the truck driver pulled over on the side of the highway, words were exchanged and O'Neill pulled out a gun just before 9:30 p.m.
The gun went off when O'Neill and the truck driver fought over the .22-caliber gun and a bullet went through the bed of the truck.
O’Neill was charged with assault by pointing a gun, discharging a firearm in city limits and carrying a concealed weapon.
He was arrested and then released with a written promise that he appear in court, according to police.
