A Rowan County man was charged after a neighbor spoiled his plan to break into a home.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office said a woman called 911 Tuesday morning when she saw a white Nissan Altima pull into her neighbor’s driveway in the 8000 block of Old Concord Road.
When deputies arrived and entered the home, they found Jonathan Todd Trexler. The deputies searched Trexler and found marijuana and a glass smoking pipe along with a plastic bag with a crystal-like substance inside.
WBTV reported that when deputies asked why Trexler was there, he told them a guy named Flip handcuffed him at the home of a woman named Cricket. This behavior led them to believe he was under the influence.
Trexler was given a $10,000 bond and charged with misdemeanor breaking and entering, felony possession of a controlled substance schedule II, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance schedule VI up to half an ounce, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor first-degree trespass.
