I encourage you to support and vote for Steve Morris and Pat Horton for County Commissioner in the March 3rd primary,
Over the last 30 years, I have had the pleasure to see these outstanding candidates in action as leaders in this community in a number of our non-profits, civic organizations and business groups over the years. Both have been at the forefront of improving quality of life for the citizens of this community for many years before deciding to run for public office. Their involvement in the community for years provides them extensive insight into this county which will lead them to making wise and informed decisions for us as citizens.
Steve is up for re-elections and is starting his 6th year as Chair of the Board. Without a doubt, I can say that Steve is the most dedicated, passionate and competent Commissioner we could ask for to lead this county. Many weeks he spends 30 hours or more fulfilling his chairman duties which speaks volumes to his commitment. In addition, I have served with him on multiple non-profit boards as well where that same commitment made him a proven leader as well. This county is lucky that he has a passion for public service.
I have worked with Pat over the years in Rotary, the NorthEast Foundation Board, the RCCC Foundation Board, Cabarrus Arts Council as well as others. Her desire to serve this community is second to none. Currently serving as Regional President of Uwharrie Bank, Pat’s experience of over 45 years in the banking industry will be a huge asset to the Board of Commissioners. She gives 100+% in all of endeavors which makes her an asset to this community.
Since 2014, one of the main goals of the board has been collaborations and working together with others in the community for the good of the citizens. Steve has successfully led this effort and the benefit to the community has been outstanding. I am confident that Pat will fit right in with that effort and our board can continue to move our community forward.
Vote Steve Morris and Pat Horton on March 3rd for Cabarrus County Commissioner!
