CONCORD—HOPE Academy (HOPE), a kindergarten through 12th grade private Christian school in Concord, recently held a commencement ceremony for its first graduation class.

The graduation commencement was held in the Worship Center of West Cabarrus Church, off Bruton Smith Boulevard, on May 24. James Metsger, pastor of Christ Point church in Concord, was the keynote speaker.

HOPE Academy holds first graduation

Gabriel Oliphant was the Valedictorian and Zoe Evans was the Salutatorian.

Graduates will be attending additional academic pursuits at a wide variety of institutions including Appalachian State University, Central Piedmont Community College, Gardner-Webb University, Lancaster Bible College, Montreat College and University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Eighty-six percent of the class received full or partial scholarships valued at $660,804 toward the colleges or universities they will attend.
