I am writing this letter of support to keep Nate Knust as a Judge in Cabarrus County District Court. I had the privilege of working with Judge Knust while he worked in the Cabarrus County District Attorney’s Office prosecuting various types of crimes in both District and Superior Court. Judge Knust always worked diligently to protect victims’ rights as well as seeking the truth for fairness to all involved.

While working for the District Attorney’s Office Judge Knust and I worked together on the Cabarrus County Elder Abuse Task Force. The main goal of the Task Force was to promote awareness and educate citizens on elder abuse as well as protect the rights of the individuals who reside in long-term care facilities. Judge Knust was instrumental in developing educational ideas as well as presenting programs on elder abuse prevention with other team members.

I know Judge Knust to be highly respected in our community among law enforcement and to be fair and concise while adjudicating cases. Judge Knust is dedicated to his family and the citizens of Cabarrus County and I know he will continue the same high ethical standards he set forth in the Cabarrus County District Attorney’s Office as well as his current tenure as a Judge in Cabarrus County District Court.

I proudly and enthusiastically support Judge Nate Knust to retain his seat as a Cabarrus County District Judge in 2020.
