On July 9-14, brothers of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. attended the Inaugural Dr. Moses C. Norman, Sr. International Leadership Conference at Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
This year’s biennial conference was renamed in honor of deceased Omega brother Dr. Moses C. Norman, Sr. who was the fraternity’s 33rd Grand Basileus (1984-1990) and an educational leadership pioneer in Atlanta as the former dean of Clark Atlanta University’s School of Education.
The conference serves as an opportunity for registered attendees to participate in public forums, executive leadership training, community initiatives workshops and to also recognize members and chapters for their exceptional service to the community.
This year’s keynote address was given by Senator Kamala Harris, 2020 Democratic Presidential Candidate.
For the second consecutive year, Concord’s Phi Chi Chapter returned home as an international award recipient. The Phi Chi Chapter was recognized as the International Social Action Graduate Chapter of the Year. Chapter members and its executive leadership are extremely honored to receive such a prestigious honor and strive to continue its outreach throughout the community.
