Have you discovered TuxedoKat, an Imaginarium yet? We have and we’re thrilled to have it here in downtown Concord.

Artist Katlyn Wyllie is the owner and leads creative classes in puddle painting. You don’t need to be a trained artist, said Kat. “Puddle painting requires very little explanation. Just a commitment to try.”

Puddle paint

We don’t know how she does it, maybe unicorns are involved, but Kat’s paint formulas keep the paint colors from mixing together. And she has 12 different colors and more, like metallic colors, in the works. From Cabarrus Arts Council

Puddle Paint

Add layer after layer. Spend five minutes creating or as long as you want. Restart again. Puddle painting is governed by very few rules. Michael A. Anderson/Cabarrus Arts Council

Anyone can paint

Anyone can puddle paint, no matter the age. Recommended for anyone 8 and up, younger children can come to as long as they bring an adult to help them. From Cabarrus Arts Council
