A Davidson County woman has been charged with sexually abusing a child four years ago, according to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office.
Brandy Nicole Naylor, 32, was charged with two counts of rape of a child and two counts of indecent liberties, according to a story in the Lexington Dispatch.
On July 9, the sheriff’s office received a report of a sexual assault that took place in 2015 involving a 5-year-old boy. The child, who is now 9, attended a forensic interview at The Dragonfly House Children’s Advocacy Center in Mocksville, where he made a detailed disclosure about the incident, the Dispatch reported.
On Thursday, Naylor, who was at the Cabarrus County Detention Center on different charges, was served with the warrants.
Naylor is scheduled to appear in court Monday. The Cabarrus County Jail website indicates there is no bond allowed.
