CONCORD -- Concord police are searching for a possible runaway juvenile who was last seen at Concord Mills Mall on January 18.
Police said 15-year-old Amy Lisets Rivera, from Charlotte, was last seen after attending a movie at AMC Theaters.
Earlier that day, Rivera was dropped off at the mall by her father and was to be picked up later in the evening.
Police said that information obtained by friends who were with Rivera at AMC said that Rivera left the theater prior to the end of the movie and didn’t indicate where she was going.
When the movie ended, Rivera’s could not find her.
Police said security video appears to show Rivera outside of mall entrance No. 1 on the sidewalk alone.
As the camera panned away, then back, Rivera was longer visible.
Police believe Rivera got into a vehicle with someone.
Rivera is described as 5 feet, two inches tall and weighs approximately 120 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and a medium complexion. She was last seen wearing a black jacket with cats on it and black leggings.
Police said that at this point it is presumed that Rivera may be attempting to get to a location somewhere in Virginia to meet someone.
Anyone with information regarding the disappearance of Rivera is asked to call Concord Police Department at 704-920-5000 or contact Cabarrus County Crime Stoppers at 704-93CRIME.
