HARRISBURG — PruittHealth-Town Center, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center serving the Cabarrus County community, recently was named to the American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living Quality Initiative List for meeting all four standards of excellence: hospitalizations, consumer satisfaction, anti-psychotics and functional outcomes.

The award is one of three distinctions available through the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program, which spotlights providers across the nation that have demonstrated their dedication to improving quality of care for residents and patients in long-term and post-acute care.

“For 50 years, our goal has been to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to our 24,000 patients — our hometown heroes,” said Neil Pruitt Jr., chairman and CEO of PruittHealth. “Our centers continuously strive to be the first choice for post-acute-care needs, which is why quality of care is our highest priority, and this achievement demonstrates that commitment.”

The Quality Initiative is a national effort through AHCA/NCAL that builds upon the existing work of the long-term and post-acute-care profession by setting specific, measurable targets to further improve quality of care in America’s skilled nursing centers and assisted- living communities.

The Quality Initiative Recognition Program honors AHCA/NCAL-member skilled nursing care centers and assisted-living communities that achieve a number of these goals.

“I’d like to give kudos to all our employee partners for committing themselves to excellence,” Pruitt said. “Thank you for being ‘Committed to Caring.’”
