CONCORD — Cabarrus Partnership for Children, Safe Kids Cabarrus and Hilbish Ford are bringing families together for a day full of fun and learning at the first ever School’s Out Bash on Saturday, June 8 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Hilbish Ford, located at 2600 S. Cannon Blvd, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
Admission is $5 per person, $15 for groups of four or more and free for children under 2 years old. All proceeds will support the Cabarrus Partnership for Children’s Emergency Fund.
The School’s Out Bash will be packed with exciting games, activities and demonstrations inside and outside the Hilbish Ford showroom. Families will have the opportunity to build and race their own zucchini racecars and play kickball games. There will be a Safe House to teach kids about fire safety, fire trucks, SWAT and K-9 Unit demonstrations, car seat checks, bike safety tips, storytellers, glitter stamps, and local vendors.
Parents can pick up a free W.H.A.L.E. Kit during the event, which allows them to place important information under their child’s car seat for emergency personnel to retrieve in the event of a car accident or other vehicle-related emergency. Hot dogs, drinks and snow cones will also be served.
“We are so excited about this partnership with Hilbish Ford and Safe Kids,” said Ann Benfield, Executive Director of the Cabarrus Partnership for Children. “We all have the same purpose of ensuring child well-being in Cabarrus County, so we are thrilled to have this opportunity to host a family event with them that focuses on that purpose.”
All admissions and donations will support the Cabarrus Partnership for Children’s Emergency Fund, which provides emergency assistance to children and families in Cabarrus County. The program will be collecting donations of diapers, baby wipes, bike helmets, crayons, large pencils, glue, glue sticks, small scissors, backpacks, child size coats, underwear and socks for young children, and single bed sheets during the School’s Out Bash. If you would like to donate any items to this program, please drop them off inside of the Hilbish Ford showroom. We truly appreciate your support.
