Start spreading the news — New York City is about to get a whole lot sweeter. Krispy Kreme Doughnuts announced that it will be opening six shops in New York City in 2020, and announced May as the opening month for its Times Square flagship.
Additionally, the re-modeled Penn Station location reopened Thursday, delighting locals and tourists alike.
A few highlights from Wednesday’s announcement:
» Remodeled Penn Station Shop opened and includes full doughnut menu, hot and cold beverages and mobile order available for pickup and delivery.
» Times Square flagship: Equipped with the world’s largest Hot Light and hot/fresh doughnuts 24/7, opens May 2020.
» The first Krispy Kreme shop will open at 994 Sixth Ave. (West 37th St.) on Feb. 4, featuring a full doughnut menu and hot and cold beverages.
» Additional shops to open throughout the year: Financial District, the Bronx/East Fordham, Harlem, and the Upper West Side.
» Krispy Kreme expects to hire over 400 people to support its NYC presence.
» All shops will feature mobile/online order and delivery.
