KANNAPOLIS – As part of the 100 Years of the Office of Public Health Nursing in NC centennial celebration, the NC Division of Public Health has recognized the 100 Distinguished Public Health Nurses in North Carolina.
Cabarrus Health Alliance has four school nurses who have been named Distinguished Public Health Nurses in North Carolina. Alice Luttman, Laura Bryant, Wendy Harsch and Dallas Picard are among 100 recipients from across North Carolina to receive the award.
Selected by a review committee of professional peers, they were chosen from a competitive field of public health nurses whose nominations demonstrate noteworthy evidence of innovation, collaboration, Community centered care or professionalism in their work setting.
Officials with the Cabarrus Health Alliance said they are extremely honored to have four nurses be recognized.
A listing of all award recipients is available on the N.C. Public Health Nursing Community Facebook page, and an awards luncheon will be held in September.
