An upcoming car show will raise money for Aislinn’s Wish Foundation.
The 7th annual Harrisburg Cruisers Memorial Car Show is set for Saturday, Oct. 5 from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at Morrison Motor Car Museum, located at 4545 Concord Parkway South in Concord.
The foundation was created for Aislinn Fadden, a local child that was diagnosed with Sanfilippo Syndrome at the age of 4.
Sanfilippo Syndrome, also known as MPS III, is a progressive and fatal disease. It is a genetic condition that affects the metabolism and results in severe damages to the central nervous system.
Those with Sanfilippo lack an enzyme to break down long chains of sugar molecules called mucopolysaccharides. As these molecules accumulate in the calls, they start causing cellular dysfunctions, particularly in the brain.
Awards at the show will be presented to Best of Show, Best Paint, Classic Cars-Top 10, ’95 & Newer Cars- Top 3, Peskir’s Choce, Cavaness’s Choice, Aislinn’s Choice, For Jake’s Sake and more.
The event will also include museum tours, music, a 50/50 raffle and giveaways.
