Buzz City Games will once again be offering children an opportunity to turn their Halloween candy in for a Pokémon pack to raise money for charity, November 1- 4.
Buzz City Games is a local hobby retail game store located on the ground floor of the historic Hotel Concord. Children 13 years of age and under who are accompanied by an adult, can trade in one pound of Halloween candy and receive a booster pack of Pokémon (select sets available).
Buzz City Games has already begun an auction of the candy on its Facebook page, with the proceeds benefiting the Special Olympics of Cabarrus County. In 2018, Buzz City Games collected over 88 pounds of Halloween candy during the promotion and over 100 pounds are expected in 2019.
Buzz City Games is celebrating 1 year of fun and contribution to the local community. The store offers a demo library and play space for tabletop gaming, including board games and role-playing games, like Dungeons and Dragons.
“Buzz City Games is excited to be able to support the Special Olympics of Cabarrus County with this promotion. It’s always a great thing when you can turn extra candy into money for charity,” said Andrew Westin, owner of Buzz City Games.
The retail store is located at 18 Union St North. For more information regarding the promotion call 980-439-8946.
