CONCORD — Here are results from football games at Boys & Girls Club of Cabarrus County over the past two weeks:

This week:

Wolfpack 19, Deacons 0

The Wolfpack used touchdowns runs from Jayce Smith, Dylan Massey and Kavyon Smith in their victory over the Deacons. Massey added an extra-point run.

Redskins 7, Panthers 6, OT

The Redskins got a 1-yard touchdown run from Camden Cummings, and his extra-point run overtime gave them the victory. The Panthers were paced by Jason Brown Jr.’s 10-yard touchdown run.

Dolphins 12, Cowboys 6

Jason Srackangast ran for a 15-yard score, and Landon Dowell ran in from 45 yards for the Dolphins. Jakai Twyne had a 45-yard TD catch for the Cowboys.

Deacons 15, Volunteers 6

Jace Thorpe had a pair of 30-yard scores, with Elijah Scott adding a PAT run for the Deacons, who also had a special teams safety. Luke Hampton had a 48-yard fumble recovery for the Volunteers.

Last week:

Wolfpack 0, Deacons 0

This one was a defensive stalemate.

Redskins 14, Cowboys 0

Jah Martin’s runs of 55 and 30 yards provided the offensive firepower, while the Redskins also recorded a defensive safety.

Dolphins 28, Panthers 6

Jason Srackengast had two touchdown runs, while King Howard (38-yard run) and Samari Howard (70) also reached the end zone. Landon Dowell provided two PAT kicks. Scoring for the Panthers was Mason Lafferty-Boyer on a 6-yard run.

Wolfpack 27, Volunteers 7

Kavyon Smith scored on runs of 44, 6 and 28 yards for the Wolfpack. Kaydin Dooley-Reid produced a scoring run of 70 yards. Jayce Smith provided two PAT runs, while Kavyon Smith added another PAT run.


Mavericks rout Griffin

HARRISBURG — The Hickory Ridge Middle School eighth-grade football team defeated CC Griffin Middle’s squad, 30-0, on last Wednesday in a home game.

Isaiah Henry started the scoring early in the game with a 24-yard interception return for a touchdown. Caden Haywood threw for two touchdown passes, with a 24-yarder to Isaiah Henry and a 30-yarder to Jalen Harris. Carter Lyons connected with Logan Lightner for a touchdown.

Josh Porch added a two-point conversion run and had a reception from Haywood for another two-point score. Lyons threw a two-point pass to Kwaley Chase, and Miles Beard added an interception.

The Mavericks improved to 6-0 on the season and will play at Concord on Oct 16.
