CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Charlotte 49ers’ first game couldn’t have been scripted much better than it played out in the 52-7 win at Jerry Richardson Stadium before a standing room only crowd.

In a game of firsts, freshman kicker Blake Brewer was the first 49er to touch the football in a real game. Brewer drove the opening kickoff out of the end zone.
